An amendment moved in the State Retrenchment Bill exempting salaries under £175 was carried against the Government, by seven votes, and in consequence the Premier moved an adjournment till to : day. Received September 10, 10.50 p.m. MELBOURNE, September 10. The State Ministry, after a lengthy consultation, it is understood decided to ask for dissolution.
