(By "Maxim.") The meeting of the Marton Jockey Club takes place to-day at the Wanganui Racecourse. Capital acceptances have been received, and should the weather continue; fine a successful gathering may be confidently anticipated. The following horses may run prominently: — Hunters' Hurdles.—Eclair, Halcyon. Flying.—Terror, Lissa. Hunt Club Cup.—Jack-o'-Zanfcern. Gryphon. Handicap Hurdles.—Levant, Eclair. Trial Steeples.—Madman, Clarion. Tutaenui Welter. —A.8.N., Marianthus, Position
Owners, trainers, and others interested are reminded that nominations for all events in connection with ths Wanganui Jockey Club's Spring Meeting (held on October 2nd and 3rd) closr on Monday next, September Bfch, at 9 p.m. with the secretary, Mr F. Moffatt.
