Per Press Association. NAPIER, September 2. The s.s. Mourai, Avith the Taviuni in tow, had to -return and take shelter at Cape Kidnappers to-day after getting as far as Castle Point, owing to experiencing a heavy southerly which she was quite unable to make headway against. The Moura landed four of the passengers, who will proceed overland, the vessel continuing her passage to-morrow. The Omapere will take up the work of towing the Taviuni as soon as the weather moderates.
