Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club.
Tho ia-st hunt of the season took place on Saturday at Rapanui. The weather was all that could be desired. The hounds left tiown shortly a/ter 1 p.m., and were thrown off about 2.30, down near the mouth of the Kai Iwi. Running up thi'oug>h the sheep yards, they kept on the lefthand side of the road for some distance, then crossed over in front of the homestead, down towards the sandhills, and doubled back and ran up to the woolshed. After a short halt for refreshments, the hounds were again thrown off near the house, and crossed the i>oad in front of the Homestead, and ran away to the right, crossing the creek and back again to tihe stockyard. It was a very jolly run, and everyone was ready for th» excellent spread provided by Mrs. and Misses Blair. With mudo and song the aftemooini soon sped, and Mr. Cholmeley, on behalf of tho club, thanked Mr. Blair for the use of his country, and Mrs. and Misses Blair for the hospitable manner in which they had been entertiained, and called for three hearty cheers for Mi*, and Mrs. and the Mifisea Blair, which were heartily responded to.
