TROOPERS RELEASED FROM QUARANTINE.

DUNEDIN, August 14.
One case at the quarantine Island is diagnosed by Dr. Ogston as- nervous erup-r tion, caused by rheumatism. All the oth,-. ers in the camp and. quarantine are well. Thero are 277 in camp and 20 on the island.
WELLINGTON, August 14,
A number of trooperi* who arrived by the steamer1 Orient were released from quarantine to-day. The Defence Department is s&Tanging to billet them in town for a. few days, and for therm to go to their Jiomes as soon as possible. All have been vaccinatedl withi good results. The smallpox patient is repoited to be doing- well, and k likely to recover. There are 29 cases of 3neasles among tho Orient troopers', andi .several cases of colds still in the hospital at Soames' Island.
