SUGGESTED EXCHANGE OF METHUEN FOR KRUITZINGER.
LONDON1, March 11. Boer leaders in Holland suggest an exchange of Lord Metlnien for Kruitzinger. Paris papers, while jubilant at the disaster, recognise Lord Methuen's chivalry towards the late Commandant Villebois. The Berlin populace repeatedly hurrahed the news of the disaster, .: A tremendous ' Sensation was " produced in New York, which has greatly injured British prestige. The Nationalists' jubilation in the House of Commons over General Methuen's disaster is further proof that they are unable to be trusted with independence, and Parliament lias refused to further reveal the programme until called upon to prescribe
