A "Hack" means ahorse that has, at time of nomination, never won a race of the value of BUsovs, or races of the colleethe value of lbOsovs, since Ist August, 1899, and has never won an advertised ra-je exceeding 40sovs. (hack and hunter rati-s excepted). 2. The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to cany a penalty of 71bs., and of every additional race 51b extra in all handicap flat events. 3. Entries by telegrams must give full particulars of the horse, cind muse be tonfirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity. ■ • 4. Owners, tniiners, and others entering and accepting horses for this meeting are notified that no entries or acceptances will be received unless accompamed by the necessary amount in cash. 5. No entry will be received for any race, except on these conditions: That all disputes, claims, and objections arising o-1 of the racing shall be decided.by a major-ty of the stewards, and their decision rhali be final. . 6. The" stewards reserve the right to alter the time or date for declaration of weigjts, nominations, or acceptance. All rac;-s to be run under "The New Zealand Rules of Racing." Stakes paid in full. DIVIDENDS. Totalisator dividends in the proportion of 75 per cent, to the first horse, and 25 per cent to the second horse, "will be pa,id in all races where live or more horses, tue property of different owners, start. In the event of horses the property of one owner (being coupled on'the totalisalor) running first or second, or dead heat for first place, the dividends will be dcclaied on the coupled horses only. In tlio event of coupled' horses finishing first and dead heat for second place with another hor?e, the dividends will be declared in the proporton of 80 per cent, on tha coupled horses, and 20 per cent, for the other. Bookmakers, their clerks or agents will not bo <i dm it ted to the racecourse or enclosure, and any person laying totalisator odds will bo prosecuted. .-Note.—Tlio Post and Telegraph Office closes at 5 p.m. The Secretary will receive money for investment on the tocjlisator, R.
