The students attending this chi-.s have new passed from the elecentary stajje, and Mr. Andrews, the instmctor, is now encouraging them to model from their own conception of things. The subjects chosen were an eagle's he^id, claw, and an oak branch with leaves and acorns. These all form good subjects, and afford good prac* tice in cultivating the observational faculties. Very good work was done; in fact. it is hardly credible that such improvement should bo made in so short a si>aee of time.
