NEWTOWN WINS THE FINAL.

WELLINGTON, anuary 30. The second game in the. semi-final round oi' the Inter-Club Championship was playe<l_ this morning, and was won by Evans' (Napier) team, which defeated Mowlem's (Pahncistoii) rink by 21 to 19. The'final then took pliice between- the Newtown (Nancarrow. Astill, Demden. Price) and Napier (Bristy, Soutli. . Yates, Evans). Seoririg was very slow, and at the nineteenth head Napier had registered only 13 and Newtown only 14. On the twentieth head Napier got in two, one of them dte to the Newtown skip's taking out his o\vn second sliot, so that Newto.\vu required one to tie and two to win. When the skips went down, Newtown was lying iK, and required two, but'Evans'sent in' a firm on* and got shot. Price replied with a nice draw, carrying frhe jack and lying one, and as neither of them made any'further alteration the head ended in a draw. Another head was played, and when the ii miii be is three had finisked, Newtown was lying one, the result of a lucky shot by Price. The Napier skip failed to a'ter the Hale of affairs, and Newtown won by one point. • '
