SERVICES REWARDED.

Mr. W. T. Tennent, who has been secretary of the Harbour Board for 23 years, and is now leaving, Ihas resigned on account of ill-health. The Board to-day resolved to give him twelve months' leave on half pay as a recognition of his long and valuable services'. The Board have now disposed of the first half of the JBIOO^J loan locally at 4 and 4| per cent,
