WANGANUI CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Oricket Association -was held on Wednesday eveningl. Present —Ray, - Marshall (in the chair), Messrs. ~Watt, f^rrllTm, ■ ■""■■>--**,- .\^J-»-nr- T>««i-tni.it 'Simpson, and Francis. The minutes of the previous) meeting- were read and confirmed -An application was received from the Castlecliff Club asking for permission to enter another team' for the junior cup, and the request was acceded to. Messrs. Francis, Watt, and Marshall, were appointed a, Selection Committee. A letter was read from the Hawke s Bay Union inviting the local Association to send a team to Napier during the Christmas holidays'. It was stated that the Hawke's Bay. Association owed Wanganui a visit, and as it was found impossible to raise anything like a representative team, it was- resolved that the invitation could not be accepted. The Canterbury Union also wrote stating that they did not intend to visit the North Island this seaSon, but in all probability they would tour next year, and every endeavour would be made to include Wanganuj. ~ in''the itiner?.: ary.
