The official report of the recent 'testa of the cruisers Minei-va and Hyacinth says that -he Hyacinth's leaky joints •caused a serious loss of water. The Minerva's tubes became choked. The extreme coal endurance of either vessel at 7000 horse-power proved about •3000 miles. They can thus steam 1500 miles and return to base.
