LONDON, August 26.
A detachment of the 10th Hussars hadi a sharp fight with Scheeper's commando at South Uniondale. Th© British had four
killed and eleven wounded. Commandant
Vandermerc and Field Cornet Dupleseis were amongst the Boer wounded.
The "Standard's" Pretoria correspondent reports thai; Colonel Williams' column escaped scathless in connection with the capture of the convoy near Klerksdorp. The prisoners include Miss Steyn (ex-President's niece) and Commandant De la Rey's mother..
