Halfbrother to St. Paul, St. Clements, etc. LINSTOCK (10 years old) only started once as a 2-year-old, As a' 3-year-old he eayned a winning bracket by appropriating the. open Flying Stakes at Pakuranga (Auckland) meeting, beating a field of 11, including St. Vincent, Annabelle, and Brown Mantle, and cutting out the five furlongs in 1.4. After competing at the Auckland Summer Meeting he next took part in the gathering at Avondale, where he annexed the FJying Handicap, beating Lufra, Count Lamont, The Sharper, and several others. At. the March meeting of the same Club, carrying top weight, he started favourite in the Waitakerei Handicap, and finished fourth to Retaliation, The Lieutenant, and The Sharper, the six furlongs being run in 1.16. At tlie Auckland R.C. Meeting he carried a big weight, and ran third to Doris and Reaper in the Railway Handicap, for which a field of nine started. Owing to an accident' on the course while competing he fell over a hurdle which had been inadvertently left on the track, arid' this finished up his racing career. LINSTOCK is the biggest thoroughbred horsfe that has ever visited the Wanganui distiict. In colour he is black, and stands 17.1£ hands high. He has a handsome 'head, beautiful rein, oblique shoulder, very short back, fine flat bone, and is a good quartered horse. He is really ahorse that should suit the requirements of all sorts of breeders, who should look through his pedigree. LINSTOCK will stay at Mr Churton's, Aramoho,' iin'd will travel to Turakina (via Fordell) on Mondays, Mar ton on Tuesdays, returning Wednesdays (via' No. 1 Line), and at home at Aramoho on Thursdays, Single Mares, 5. guineas two ov more mares, £4.
