MARTON, Saturday.
The Gas Committee appointed by • tiie Borough Council, consisting of the Mayor, Crs Read and Signall, has purchased Mr Mossman's section in Wellington Road, consisting of 5£ acres, for the sum of £270.
Mr R. J. Hodgins lias sold out his interest in the Club Hotel to Mr Proctor, until recently mine host) of the Red Lion Hotel, Wanganui, and the new proprietor takes possession on the 21st instant. It is probable that Mr Hodgins will settle in the Rangitikei and follow farming pursuits.
