Parkes (Hunterville), W. Whisker (Feilding), G. Haselden (Hunterville), Woolven (Feildang), H. Fraser (Marton). It was decided to play in red and black jerseys' (Marton Club colours), and the selection of a skipper was left to the team. The forwards are considerd a fine, strong, active lot, and are expected to give a good account ; of themselves.

The Selection Committee of the Wanganui Rugby Union have chosen the following players to go into active training at once—Takaraiigi, Stedman, C. McLean,Tregear, Robinson, Bullock, R. McLean, Dick, Guscott, Bell, Butler Ryan, Malone, Symes (2), Campbell, Collns, Murray and , v Moss. A ball -will be on Cook's Gardens every evening after 4 o'clock, and the above players are particularly requested to make every endeavour to be presnt. A .practice will be held in the Drill Hall on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. The committee ■wish it to be intimated that only those players who turn up to the practices will be considered in the final selection.
