Skobell on Sunday captured ten Boers,

Sergt.-Major McGillivray (South Australian) was killed at Vankollensfontein.

Two rebels at Kenhardt and two- at Middleburg have been executed, while at Dordrecht thirteen have been sentenced to penal servitude for life, and two to five and ten years' respectively.

In the House of Commons, the Eight Hon. St. John Brodriek stated that in only one instance had the burghers been compelled to attend an execution. The circumstances were exceptional, and this was ■doubtless intended to hitve si deterrent effect.
