PRESENTATION TO MR GEORGE FISHER.

WELLINGTON, July 24. The railway employes of Wellington and Petone to-night made the presentation of a massive silver inkstand and silver-plated walking stick to Mr George Fisher, M.H.R., in recognition of his efforts on their behalf.

Sir Joseph Ward, who -was asked to make the presentation, spoke in terms of praise of Mr. Fisher's strong, determined and vigorous advocacy of the rights of the workers of the colony ever since he had been in Parliament.
