THE VISIT OF THE YORKS

AUCKLAND, March 14. Extensive preparations are being made 'or the reception of the Duke of York. In answer to the Mayor the Premier telegraphed the Government do not intend to contribute towards the-expenses of the local bodies further than if medals are issuid to school children to contribute £ for £ to the cost.
