A SUGGESTION FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

I. Sir, —The Easter holidays are now ja-pMly ipproadiing, and with them comes the ■ question, where shall we go? Thanks to m enlightened railway policy, it is possible .or most people to get a. considerable distance- at a minimum cost. The only difficulty -at this end of the district seems to be to get the time-table to fit in. No doubt the railway authorities do their very best to cuter for the wants of the public, and ire not above receiving a suggestion likely to prove beneficial both to themselves and the public. Now, sir, some of the people of this district would very much like to reach Wanganui in time to catch the upliver steamers on Good Friday morning, but find that in order to do so they would bs obliged to leave here on Thursday morning first thing, which to many is quite t .n impossibility. They therefore trust that tho railway authorities will be able to see their way clear to run the usual afternoon * o'clock train from New Plymouth right ■•■hrough to Wanga.nui, reaching there at tbout midnight on Thursday, the 28th inst. —I am, etc.,
