FEDERATION COMMISSION
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 5.
Evidence was given before the Federa-; tion Commission this morning by A. B. Donald (ship-owner), Wesley Spragge (manager of the New Zealand Dairy Association), T. T. Masefield (iron founder), r.nd iSturges (vice-president of ihe'Otnauhn Fruit-growers' Association). Mr Donald; advocated federation, but the other1 three took an opposite view. AUCKLAND, March 5.
At tho Federation Commissions sitting to-day two witnesses were in favour of federation, and all the others against. With the exception of the Rev G. MacMurray, Vicar of St. Mary's Cathedral, the evidence was mainly a repetition of the reasons for and against; already given. The Rev Macmurray made the most exhaustive and pronounced statement in favour of federation so far given here.
