THE PLAGUE
Press Association.—Telegraph—Copyright. CAPETOWN, March 4. The plague is spreading. The corpses of five Kaifirs were found in town. Ten Kaffirs and one European have been removed to the hospital since the last report. ADELAIDE, March 5. Two doctors have declared that the wharf labourer Rieze, from Port Adelaide, is suffering from the prtagiifc H* became ill last week, and, with bin family, was quarantined on Saturday.
BRISBANE, March 5. Tho vessels fr?m the Cape, India, and Sydi-ey will be strictly inspected nnd fumigated, i£ not already done, as a precaution against tho plague. Vessels from all plague porta are being shiotlv examined.
