SWIMMING.

The Annual College. Swimming Sports were held on Monday, in the College Baths; 21 items were contested, the icsults of which are given below. The Half-mile, the Quarter-mile, and the Humane Society's Competition for Life-Saving will be held on subsequent days. The sports were a great success, for • the weather was tine. Several-records were broken. The Murphys were , as usual, very conspicuous. R. C. Murphy lowered the school records for tho 100 yards and the 50 yards, while R. K. Mr-" accomplished the extraordinary distance of 238 feet in the long dive. There was a good snrinkling of humourous items to allow the competitors to recover from their exertions.
