SYDNEY," September 19. The announcement of the Duke ef York's visit was received with cheers in the various Parliaments. A general feeling of appreciation of tho honour done Australia has been voiced by the various Premiers. Sir William Lyne. states that coupleof months ago he cabled to London, asking if a Royal "personage might visit the colonies in connection with the initiation of the Commonwealth. He also asked if the Hon Joseph Chamberlain could find time to attend the festivities. The 'Hon Joseph Chamberlain replied that it was impossible at the present juncture for him to accept.
