THE POLLARDS.
We need havdly remind playgoers thai the box plan for the forthcoming visit (>: this popular combination will be opened this morning. In reviving such a charming .work as "Marituna." Mv Pollard shows good judgment, as we have had such a surfeit of comic opera and musical comedy that a return to the better class of Engl'sh opera will be acceptable. We have been indebted to "The Pollards" during tho last nine years fov many excellent performances, and playgoers will vegqet to learn that after next week it will be something like two years before this company will bo seen here. An extended tour of the Australian colonies ha.« buen booked, commencing at Her Majesty'sTheatre, Sydney, on Boxing Night. This h the leading theatre of the colonies, and r twelve weeks' season time shows the position that this company holds in the estimation of Australian managers.
