The addition of a small proportion of KAINIT to any of the MistU'es is aii advantage, and can be made without extra charge if specified by the purchaser when giving the order. MIXING ! The Manures are not mixed until the orders ave sent out, and purchasers at their option can have the original manures sent to them in the makers' bags and make the mixtures themselves. SPECIAL MIXTURES can be made at any time to suit farmers. NOTE— The "M" Manure gave the best results in proportion to cost out of nineteen experiments with Champion Swede Turnips at the Government Experimental Farm, at Momohaki, in 1897 (see page 170. Fifth Report of Agricutmal Department: The experiments made at Momohaki with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-1899 show that the BEST result was obtained from a mixture of one-third steamed bone and two-thirds basic slag (Thomas' Phosphate), whilst the best result, at a minimum cost, was from a mixture of onethird of the W.M.E. Co's "M" Manure. The latter mixture contains the same components as the W.M.E. Co's No. 3 Mixture, the proportions being a little different. The former combination points to the fact, now generally recognised, that the value of basic slag, also known as Thomas' Phosphate, has been greatly under-estimated. The W.M.E Co's No. 4 Mixture contains onethird of Tlicmas 1 Phosphate. A perusal of tho report of Mr Gillanders, the manager \ at Momohaki, embodyintr the results of the I experiments referred to, which wi 1 be found in the Seventh Report of the Depaitment of Agriculture, would amply repay any farmer who rinds a difficulty in selecting the most suitable manures.
