It is also satisfactory to noto that new blood is coming forward at most of the Ridings. The ordinary monthly meeting of tin Rangitikei County Council takes place • n Saturday next, at 11 a.m. At Mr R. K. Beckett's stock s.ile to day fair prices were realised, both for sheep and cuttle, and the attendance was good. MARTON, Wednesday. The names of the different candidates nominated for the various Ridings of the Rangitikei County Council are published in our advertising columns of to-day, and where the elections are to be held. No nominations being received for the Otiiiri Riding, an extraordinary vacancy occurs, for which nominations will be received up to 10th November next. The Registrar of Electors for Manawatu (Mr Ross) informs us that, acting undor instructions, he will close the first Supplementary Roll on November 10th next. The Rangitikei County Council monthly meeting takes place on Saturday next, at tl a.m. Mr J. M. Nieol, of Marton, has secured the No. 2 luncheon booth from Mr Devine, and visitors to the Palmerston Show will find everything of the choicest. At the meeting of the Druids last night, it was decided to attend the opening ceremony in connection with the Wnngnnui Druids' new Lodge room.
