DECLINED WITH THANKS.

WELLINGTON, April 9. The Premier- this evening received a reply through His Excellency the Governor, to the communication sent to the Imperial Government offering the services of Voluneers and-Permanent Artillery as well as the Government steamer Tuttinekai, should their services be required to suppress the present disturbance in Samoa. Her Majesty's Government highly appreciates the offer, and while gladly accepting the services of the Tutanekai which will doubtless soon be required for the despatch of messages and stores to Samoa, intimute to tbe New Zealand Government that the services of the Volunteers and Permanent Arillery will not be required. Mr Seddon has arranged that the Tutanekai will keep her usual trips between Wellington and tho North, but at the same time be in close touch with tlegrapb communication in order to proceed to Samoa whenever necessity should arise.
