(By Electric Telegraph.— Copyiught.) (Peb Tress Association.) BRISBANE, January 30. Burgess bas mado a statement; to the solicitor covering hia movements on Christmas and Boxing Days. This shows that he wa' some distance from Gat ton. Received January 31, lAdnigkt. BRISBANE, January 30. A 'farmer has identified Burgess as the mau who stayed at his farm, 25 miles from Gatton, the .night prior to the murder. This verifies JBurgess's statement as to his whereabouts. The police are consequently nonplussed.
