The bombardment of Art* by Tnrkish batteries caused great destruction, and half the town is in rains.
Following theTorkish notification that Greak forces were allowed fifteen days in which to havo bret-, tha Greek Govern-
ment baa asked the Powers to withdraw their forces from the island.
