ANNUAL MEETINGS. The annual meeting of the Wanganui Licensing CommiWeo was held at thn Courthouso at noon yesterday, (here being present Mr 0. 0. Kotfcle, B.M. (uhairmio), tho Bov. T. B. Maoloan. Messrs E. A. Campbell, T. D. Cumminß, T. Bamber, F. A. Krull, A. Higgie and S. H. Manson. application job liobnse. The application of Mr A. Woolloy for a license for the Commercial Hotel was grantod, BENEWALB OF LIOBNSB. Applications tor renewaila of licenses were granted as follows ; 0. J, M'Cartby, Rut land ; H. Morrow, Criterion ; H, E. Broughton, Provincial ; 0. H. Chavannes, Vi-tiri. ; W. H. Foster, Foster's j 0. Batt, Masonic ; M. O'flnw, Pier; F. Tasker, Albion; J. Brennan, Customhouse ; W. R. Tuck, Newmarkot. The above ten hotol-oopors applied for extension of hours, but it was intimated from tho Bench that unless somo ovidonoo was forthcoming in each oass such extension would be refused. No evidence was forthcoming and accordingly the extension of hours until 11 p.m, watt refused. Tbe following applications for renewals only woro then granted - 3. Mahony, Railway; T. Coady, Aramoho; F. L. K. Hill, Red Lion; Annie Barker, Castleoliff; T, Rone, Kennedy's; J. Bennett, Fordell; A, McDonald, Turakina ; M. O'Reilly, Turakina; Angus McDonald, Wangaebu. ACCOMMODATION lICBNSB. An accommodation license was granted to A. Elii«, of Mangimahu. WINE LipBNSE. A wiac license was grantod to Joseph Soler. WHOLESALE LICENS.B, The following wholesalo licensee woro granted— J. L. Sfc.vonson, M. Hogan and Co , Keith and Leonard, Sclandcra and Co., and Johnston and Co. PACKS! HOBNOBS. Applications for packet lioonseß woro granted for the river stoanaora Wairere aud Manuwai. (Per Preb Asssociaiton.) Paljibbbton Nobth, June 4. All tho existing licenses wcro renewed at tho annual mooting of tho Palmerston North Licensing Court today, with tbo oxceptiou of tbo Albion and Star Hotel?, tbo licenses of which wore adjourned for a week, tho police roport being unsatisfactory. Dunedin, June 4. The City Licensing Bench refused all applications for extensions beyond 10 o'clock. Invercargill, June 4. At the annual licensing meeting, all licenses were reriowed for 10 o'clock.
