BOTH BOATS ON THE PATENT SLIP.

I Wellikoton, Fobnury 13, The steamers Manawatu and .Oroti, which were recently stranded at Wanganui, were placed on the patent slip this morning for the purpose of ascertaining what damage was sustained, The Manawatu has from 800 to 400 sheets of zinc which will have to be stripped and renewed, and the bottom of the vessel recaulked, while the ruddar pintles will hive to be renewed and the rudder itself repaired. The rudder post and "ap6rturo" of the Oreti aro U'olten, and a portion of the inner stern poat will require repairing. The bottom appears to have sustained litWo damage externally, but the flooring will be taken u? for further examination, The repairs to tho Manawatu are expected to be completed liy Saturday.
