The Alanieda, with tho inward 'Frisco mail, arrived at 2 15 o'clock this afternoon. Passengers — Miss Murray, Mrs Williams nnd child, Chief Justice Ido and two daughters. Dr Ha9kin, Messrs Frings Williams,yflrnon,Clewenger,Fairbrothor, Wilkinson, Bridge, Ilaisch, Hichatdson, Holmes, Jackson (2), Murray, Smith, Troup, Crook, and Hadley.
The Premier was received on landing at Onehunga by the Honß. W. Swnns-on and W. Jennings, M.L,<Vs, Mr F. Lawry, M.H.R., the Mayor of Auckland, Mrs yate3, and the Mayor of Onehuoga Major Clark, of Taurangs, arrived from Tauranga to meet Mr Seddon,' and go to Tauranga with him. A number "of invitations have been issued by the Premier to gentlemen holding public positions to take part in the ceremony of opening the Rotorua Railway. It is rumoured that a section of lhe natives intend making a counter demonstration ofc the opening. Inspector Emerson take? four constablos and nine permanent force from Auckland to Rotorua, which will bring tho forco up to 20,
