TUESDAY, April 24th, 1894 (on or about)— Weights jor the above Handicaps, TUESDAY, May Ist, at 9 p.m. — Nominations : Hunter's Steeplechase, 1 soy. ; Final Steeplechase, 1 soy. ; Hack Flat, 1 soy. ; acceptances: Flying, 1 soy. ; Winter Oats, 2 soys. ; Wanganui Steeplechase, 4 soys ; Trial Steeplechase, 2 soys. TUESDAY, May 8, 1894 (on or about) - Weights for Hunter's, Trial, and Hack Flat Handicaps. TUESDAY, May 15th, at 9.30 p.m.— Acceptances : Hunter's Steeplechase, 1 soy. ; Hack Flat Handicap, 10s. THURSDAY, May 24th (on the Course) —Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase, and acceptances half-an-hour before the race starts: RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries, nominations, etc., will close at the Secretary's office at 9 p.m., except when otherwise specified. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at the time of entry, name of owner, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in case of handicaps where horses havo not previously started on the Wanganui course, pedigree and performance of the horse. Any owner failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined 2 soys., unless the colours of the owner of the horse are duly registered. All entries can be maflo on the Club's printed forms of entry, an<i must be sent to the Secretary of the Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, from whom entry forms can be btaincd. Entries by telegram must bo confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity. All horses must bo ridden in colours. Any jockey riding except in tho colours entered will be fined 2 soys. When two or more horses start, (ne pro pertyof the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be declared on entry day, and worn. Any person neglecting this rulo to be lined 2 soys, In all cases where penalties have to be carried for winning, it ahall be the duty of the owner, trainev or jockey to notify the same to the Secretary, when possible, the evening before the race, or in any case half-an-hour prior to the start. Any person neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a line to bo imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 soys. In all races other than handicaps an allowance will be made to all horses sired north of tho line, in accordance with the following scale :— 2 and 3-year-olds, 101 b. ; 4-year-olds, 71bs. ; 5-year-old. 3lbs. All persons intending to withdraw horses arc required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales on-half-hour before the oflicial time for starting the race. An person neglecting or rec fusing to comply with this rulo shall pay a fine, to be imposed by tho Stewards, not exceeding 20 soys., to the Race Fund. Five per cent will be deducted from all winnings towards the expenses of the course. All races to bo run under tho rules of Racing.
