The above, which is to be Btaged this evening, is a comedy which has satisfactorily proved that the humorous drama is not bo dead in Kngland that the recent frequent importation of plays from France, Germany, and America need be Sore than a passing fashion. "Jane" aB a farcicial comedy, is held by the best English critics to be superior to any of these importations, and for once the general public have endorsed the verdict of the critics by crowding to see " Jane" for month after month, firefc in London and more recently in Melbourne and Sydney. It is a puiely English comedy free from everything that could offend the ears of the strictest moralist. Miss LJKemble will impersonate the main pait, f which ib said to be her Btrongeßt charac ter.
