Mr Fairckmgh , has performed his editorial duties, and request tha Conference to re-appoint him : as editor of the New Zealand Methodist. 1 Later. 1 At the Wesleyan District Synod, on the I question of union of Methodist Churches . in New Zealand, it was resolved, on the ) motion of the Secretary, that owing to , the want of unanimity in the district i meeting the answer to this question be no ' recommendation. ! Auckland, December 7. At the Wesleyan district meeting the i following resolution was carried .— " That , in the opinion of the district steps should i be taken to effect na immediate repeal of I the Alcoholic Liquor Act, and to bring ■ into forse the Direct Veto Bill proposed > by Sir Eobert Stout."
