CARSON v. WILLIS.
TO THE EDITOR. Siis, — Mr Willis, at his mooting on JbVidny night, made a statement which ho and his friends have industriously circulated to try and damage Mr Carson ia tho coming election. I refer to his stating that Mr Carson, if ho wore elected, could not possibly arnvo horo until within two or three wook3 of tho ond of tho session, and that thereby the olectors would actually bo disfranchised in the coming meeting of Parliament. Is it an impossibility to got Mr Willis and his clique to fight fair and above-board instead of circulating falsehoods in order to try and catch a few votes? Queer " honesty of purpose," surely. Mr Carson will arrivo in New Zealand on July 13th, which will probably be within a few days^ at least, of the opening of Parliament. I hope Mr Willis will apologise for the culuinnios he has circulated about one he knows cannot defend ii mself.— l am, &c, TllUTlt,
