fPEB PrE3S AsBOCIATION.T London, August 11. At the Bank of New Zealand meeting, Mr Glyn declared that the increased deposits in New Zealand over-compensated the withdrawal of English capital. New Zealand security, he contended, was the safest of the Australasian colonies, and he hoped shortly to pay the Estates Company's debentures and substitute others at the lowest rates of interest. Mr James Fergusson and Mr Herbeit Ji'ison have been re elected members of the London Board. Mr Henniker-Heaton has in the House of Commons given notice of a motion that the Empire shculd purchase tho cables, and of another for the appointment of a Select Committee to consider the question of an Imperial penny post. Washington, August 11. The Chinese Minister at Washington has been recalled, owing to the Emperor's displeascire at the transactions in connection with tho formation of an International Bank of China.
