[Per Press Association/] Auckland, August 9. Steps are being taken to arrange for an acquatic display by the Maoris on the occasion of tho visit of the Governor to Auckland. The Government having refused to incorporate the Ladios' Benevolent Society, the Society has consented to become the agents of the Charitable Aid Bos.rd, who will claim a subsidy on the Society's contributions, and' give an undertaking that the Society will be allowed to disburse its contributions and subsidy.
