THE WANGANUI HOSPITAL.
A VISITOR'S OPINION. \ TO THE BDITOB. Sib, —As a visitor to'your lovely town amongst other institutions I was shown by my cicerone over your Hospital, and was well repaid for my visit by the courtesy extended to me by the attendants. I was surprised—and, I may add, grieved —to hear from my guide that the nursing staff is by no means adquate to the requirements of the place. I find, on inquiry, that the ourses—three in number—have to work 12 hours out of the 24, at a class of work which is, under the most favourable circumstances, the reverse of agreeable, whilst in the Wellington Hospital they are only required to work eight hours. This, sir, is a state of affairs-that shonld not exist, and I trust that those in power will remedy the evil without delay, and by so doing will hand a name down to an admiring posterity. — I am, &c, • Tbavelleb. Wanganui, May 28th.
