[Pee United Press Association.] - Dunedin, May 27. Fat Cattle. — 150 head were yarded. Competition was fairly active, and a slight advance on last week's prices was obtained. Best bullocks brought £7 to £9 6s ; extra, heavy, to .£lO ss ; medium to good, £5 15s to £6 15s ; light weights, £3 10s to £4 15s ; cows in proportion. Fat Sheep,— 2979 were penned, of which 200 were merinos, the quality all round being below last week's, Prices at the start were about the same as last week, but immediately afterwards the demand fell off considerably, prices receding Is to 2s per head. Best crossbred wethers, brought 14s 3d to 15s 9d; medium, 10s 6d to 12s 6d; beat ditto ewes, 18s 9d to 15s 9d, one pen extra prime 16s 9d; medium, 9s .to 12s 6d; merino wetherß, 6s to 10s. Wheat.— Limited business transacted, only a few good : samples offering; indifferent now offering is saleable, but buyers are not anxious to give the prices asked. It is anticipated, however, that all available will be required before the season is out. Prime milling velvet and Tuscan, 4s 6d to 4s 7d ; medium to good, 4s 3d to 4s 5d j inferior to medium. 3s 9d to 4a ; broken, 2s 6d to 3s 6d (ex store terms). Oats. — A steady demand has continued and late rates are still firm. All available well-grown bright good condition are readily, placed, but badly harvested inferior sorts are not so easily disposed of, except at low prices. Prime milling, Is 6Jd to Is 7d 5 best bright feed, Is 6d to Is 6Jd ; medium to good, Is 5Jd to Is fid ; inferior to medium, Is Id to Is 4Jd. ■ Barlet — Only primest lots are saleable. Best malting, 3s to 3s 3d ; medium, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; feed and milling, 2s to 2s 3d (ex store).
