Beef in average numbers, all largeframed and heavy oxen, which were in . limited demand only. The competition being without spirit, the bulk of the entries were passed in and disposed of afterwards at 14s the lOOlbs ; a few prime cows sold readily at 13s. Sheep were plentiful, and sold freely at 3d per lb. Good wether ewe 3of varied weights and sizes ranged from 2Jd to 2fd per lb, and making fuller rates toward the conclusion of the sale. Pigs were without quotable change.
