MERIVALE V. ALHAMBRA.
■ Christchurch-y Albambra, on the Caledonian Ground (Dunedin) was a fine display .of. football. The visitors held their own well, and their collaring was so smart and clean that the local . team's passing was invariably nullified , Garrard placed 0. goal from a mark ; this being the only score. In the second spell, after some ineffectual play, a goal was got from a penalty kick, and Alhambra getting a try a few mintnes later, the scores were even. Almost as soon as play was resumed ' Alhambra got another try, and Kestieaux kicked a goal. No further score resulted, Alhambra winning by 6 points to 3. . • . '
