* (Per United Pbbss Association.) I Chbistchubch, February 25. The annual meeting of the Senate of the New Zealand University was commenced to-day. The Chairman, Sir James Hector, submitted a report, which reviewed tho work of the past year, and mentioned matters to come under the notice of tha Senate at the November examinations. The report showed that 200 came up for the B.A. Degrees, *jz., first section and final, 131 ; J>. So. Degree, first and final, 7; L.I/.8., first second, and third examination, 20 } L.LiB, j 1, and honours in :arte, j 17}~\MK&J! ! intermediate examination, first, second) and ' third professional, 24.' Of these 15 cora- - peted for Senior'Scholarships, 6 for the " John Tinline " Scholarships.
