■ ''Our sheep- fair yesterday was wellat- , tended by buyers and others interested • in stock. • The St. Hill-street yards and thosetemporarily erected were quite.full, over« 12,000 Bheep being penned. We nead hardly say that the bidding .was brisk; and with the exception of one line' of 100 ewes all the lots were sold. The following is thei result! of; the sale:— Mr B. B. Hamilton's ewes made 24s to 28s , each; another small lot brought 17s; and other 2-tooth ewes, 11s to 14s ; full mouth local ewesj 7s 9d to 9s ; fat •wethers, 12s lOd; fat ewes, 9s 8d to 12s ldj Napier -ewes, 8s 6d to 9s j woolly lambs, 6s 9d to 8s"; shorn, '6s 4d to 6s 8d; 'culls, 3s. , .^ On Saturday we sold nearly all the horses that came forward, but prices were very low. • Poultry realised capital prices at our usnal^Saturday's sale. Fowls, 2s 6dto 3s lid;' ducks up to 4s the couple; geese, 6s 6d to 6s 6d ; turkeys, 8s 6d to 11s 6d , the pair. , ■; .. ... •
