FLEMINGTON TRAINING NOTES.
(Per Press Associaton.) Melbourne, February 24. ' The weather was showery this morning, but the tracks wero in good order. Conceit did the best gallop of tho morning, covering half a mile on the tan with consumate ease in SOsec. Bungebah took -15sec for the first furlong, but scampered another, five in great style in lmin 4Jsec. Marvel and Fama galloped over six furlongs .comfortably in lmin 21 Jsec. By himself Matador accomplished, a similar task. Yictor Hugo ran away from Too Soon in" a six-furlong flutter on the tan, the former finishing in lmin 22sec. The Hon. D. S. Wallace's pair, Aste • and Bendigo, covered tbe Newmarket Handicap distance in lmin 21sec. ~ Albemarle, Stromboli, and Piecrust, left five furlongs behind them in lmin 6Jsec, Syracuse and Albini taking a quarter of a second longer over the same distance. Boneze, Norbert, Crown Jewel, Gatling, and Clonard were out, and did good . strong work.
(Gibraltar and Matador are .very beefy.
