Duffjn, and he (Inspector Pardy) would , report favourably on a suspicious fire ' that had occurred at Mrs Newland's j house, which was then under investiga--1 tion by the police. Inspector Pardy indignautly denied this, and the Judge : , said Mr Samuel should not have asked such a question unloss he was prepared t to prove it. The Court adjourned till Monday.
