Torpedo is a beautiful dark brown horse, standing over 16 hands high, with good bone, and well-proportioned throughout. Of Musket it is needless to write, his sons, Martini-Henri, Tronton Matchlock, Carbine, Manton, Maxim, and a score of others speak his fame. Fanny Fisher, the dam of Torpedo, is by that great English horse Fisherman, out of Coquette and descends on her she's sido from two St. Lodger, winners; Coquotto also has a strain of th o same blood through Sheet Anchor. When wo read that Sylvia, the dam of Martini-Henri, is by Fisherman, and Onyx, dam of Nordenfeldt, is by a son of Fisherman, it will bo seen how closely Torpedo is related to theso celebrities. All Fanny Fisher's stock, viz.— Kingfisher, Hippocampus, Isaac Walton, Piscatorious, Fishwoman, Fishgirl, and Torpedo, have won races over all distances and the first four named have all sired winners, and Mr Walter's two colts by Torpedo are most promising Torpedo by his build and breed, is qualified to get both racehorses and crosscountry stock, for which there is a steady demand. Good paddocks provided near Marton at Is per week. Mares left at the White Heart stables, Marton, will receive every attention. All care taken but no responsibility.
