ALBERT BARNS' (LATE BARNS AND HIGGIE) REPORT.
The sale at Campbelltown Yards on Wednesday was numerously attended, and the entries of stock so large that several lots of '". she«|> had to be penned up outside. The ••-.'bidding was very .dull at the beginning of •' -the sftle, but was much more active as it went on, andl have to report a good sale. Values for beef are hardening a little and sheep are still improving. ' Store cattle are moving more freely,.but there is not much 1•■ rise in prices. Ordinary store sheep are ■ easier, but good young animals are well competed' for and command capital prices. I quote— Cattle—Pat cows, £3 ss, £3 10s, to £3 17s 6d; cows and calves, in poor condition, . £2 6s;' 18-month-old steers, 375; weaners, mixed sexes, 12s, 14s, 15s, and 17s. ■ Sheep—Fresh full-mouthed ewes, in lamb, ' 6s 5d to 6s 6d; store wethers, 9s; forward wethers 9s 6d to 9s 9d ;• fat wethers, 12s 6d; fat ewes, 9s 4d; mixed store sheep, 8s 7d. Pws—Small porkers, 15s; weaners, 3s 9d ' to4slod.
