A meeting of the various Olubs was held at Ohavanne's Hotel kit night, to form a Bugby Union. — Mr 0. Powellwas voted to the oliair. — The Bugby ' (Tnion , rules which - are, in force id Auokland were read.— The following re* solutions were passed : —Mr Smart proposed that a Bugby Union be formed out of the Wanganui, Collegiate, BailWay, and Gordon Football Cluba. — Se» oondsd by Mr Harold. — Proposed by Mr Swaineon, That two delegates from each Club be eleoted. — Seconded by Mr Towusend- — Proposed tbat Mr Swain son be appointed Secretary.— Seconded by Mr Ourrie, and carried.— Proposed by Mr Hogg, seconded by Mr Swainson, and carried, That Mr Bates be Treasurer, Proposed by Mr Smaii, That two members from each Olub meet »nd dtaw up the rules of the Union, and . submit them to the meeting of delegates.— Se'oonded by Mr Marshall.— Proposed by Mr Smart, that the General JJm'nn meet at Ohavanne's at 7.30 on Monday night. — Seconded by Mr Hogg: The Gordon Football, Club, intend to I oppn the season onSaturday next, with a match, betvv on teams chosen from the members, 'iue following ooin prise the I sides ; — Captain's : Smart, Armstrong, Oopeland, Cf«ig, -Parkingon,, West,-j.Qalpin,-Holden, Asnott, Turner, Hamilton, Oliver, Mason, Oronin, Thouipa eon, atid Bannatt. AU members are requested to attend, as Ist and 2nd Fifteens will be selected to play in the matches on Saturday next. Now members are particularly aslted to turn up.
